Common Sense Society (CSS) is excited to sponsor the 2023 National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Annual Conference. The 103rd NCSS Annual Conference takes place Friday, December 1 – Sunday, December 3 and will address the sub-themes of:

  1. Inclusive Social Studies: Who Are We?
  2. Starting at Home: Social Studies is Local—Where Are We?
  3. Collaboration in Social Studies: Building Partnerships
  4. Social Studies: Transcending Borders & Seeking Connections
  5. The Future of Social Studies—What’s Next?

At the conference, CSS senior fellow The Hon. Jon Parrish Peede will lead a discussion on “The Humanities as a Complement to Civics” from 12:45 – 1:45 P.M. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Room 110A, Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN 37203.
