Spending The Winter

A poetry reading from Joseph Bottum

Event Overview

“Joseph Bottum writes in a voice that is at once natural and prophetic. In Spending the Winter, he delivers line after hard-earned line that arrests us mid-stanza, triggering private memories and forgotten prayers. This book is a triumph.” — Jon Parrish Peede, CSS senior fellow and former chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Join us for an evening of poetry with Joseph Bottum, poetry editor of the New York Sun and author of three collections of poetry on Wednesday, October 25 in Alexandria, Virginia. He will read from his latest collection, Spending the Winter.
