Digital Content Manager

Job Description

Common Sense Society is in search of an organized and creative Digital Content Manager to manage the creation of digital media content, publish digital content across social media, video, and podcast platforms, and manage the social media community for the organization. This position will work closely with other members of the communications department to ideate, draft, pitch, and produce daily social media content for all platforms, as well as content for marketing, education, and special projects. The Digital Content Manager will also be responsible for tracking engagement and reporting metrics to leadership. The Digital Content Manager is a member of the communications department and reports to the Director of Digital Media and is based in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct the creation, proposal, and publishing of social media content on all platforms
• Develop all video product concepts including drafting scripts, proposing visual and auditory content
• Edit film and mix sound as needed
• Manage equipment for video or podcast
• Edit and publish podcast or video products as needed
• Develop and implement social media strategies and goals for communications campaigns, events, and resources for other departments
• Ideate and implement campaigns to grow reach on each platform
• Track and report engagement analytics to leadership

Requirements and Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in marketing, film, communications, or a relevant work experience
• 2-3 years experience in digital marketing, content creation, or brand management
• Familiarity with video and podcast editing systems preferred
• Demonstrated community management experience preferred
