But the strife and chaos descending today upon Africa\u2019s 5th largest country has its antecedents in the very same game the West\u2019s business and governmental elites are playing today with unfettered enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ben Crocker is a research fellow for&nbsp;Common Sense Society,&nbsp;in Washington, D.C.
